The Skin Illustrator FX Palette was designed to simulate cuts, burns, bruises, scrapes and even 1st, 2nd & 3rd degree burns! Combine the FX Palette with the Flesh Tone, Dark Flesh Tone, and Complexion Palettes to create a kit that will cover a variety of injuries and illnesses.
Used on Hollywood sets and in film production, the FX Palette by Skin Illustrator has proven a resourceful addition to any makeup kit. Skin Illustrator is an alcohol-based makeup that is durable and resistant to water and abrasions. With proper care, some makeup applications have lasted for up to two weeks! Skin Illustrator can be used alone or alongside your favorite grease, cream or other liquid makeups. Special Effect Artists and Makeup Artists rejoice! The Skin Illustrator colors can be applied to latex, plastic, silicone, and gelatin applications.
Created specifically to aid special effect makeup artists in their search for the perfect blood makeup, the Blood Tone is a realistic, natural blood color that can be easily altered for a more theatrical and deeper colored blood just by adding Ultra Blue. Add a topical application of KY Jelly and your blood will maintain its vivid color all day! Plus it'll keep from staining your (or your actors) clothes! A thin application gives off a nice sheen while a large dollop will give the appearance of dripping blood. Another useful purpose of Blood Tone is for an under color base with a syrup based blood on top. If the syrup based blood drips off or washes away during your project, you're still covered in blood!
To Use: Apply them with a brush, sponge or stipple. Activate the colors with the Skin Illustrator Slow Activator spray. You will not be able to mix colors and achieve the same tones in this palette. For example, Yellow and Blue will produce a different green then the green provided.
